Julie T. Waterman

Ms. Waterman was recently hired as the Director of External Relations at
Population Action International (PAI). Prior to joining PAI, Ms. Waterman
served for eight years as President of The Partnership Project, a 501(c)(3)
collaborative organization comprised of the 20 largest advocacy environmental
groups in the country. The organization was established to help
consolidate the efforts of these diverse groups to help strengthen and make more
effective their activities in educating the public on environmental
issues. Before that she served as the director of the Green Group, an
informal coalition comprised of CEOs from the nation’s thirty leading
environmental advocacy organizations (of which PAI is a member). Ms.
Waterman was responsible for planning and coordinating CEO meetings with the
president and Vice President, congressional members and other high profile
administrators, and served as the primary liaison for policy directors and the
CEOs. Prior to the Green Group, Waterman worked in the Public Affairs
department of the National Audubon Society. Ms. Waterman received her
Bachelor of Science degree at Northwestern University, IL. She resides in
Washington, DC with her husband and three children.
