June 17, 2009Statement by Tod Preston, VP Government Relations, Population Action International:
"Population Action International applauds the subcommittee’s commitment to improving the lives of women. Their action shows loud and clear that the U.S. is back as an international leader on family planning and reproductive health issues. The proposed funding would reflect a 40% increase for family planning over the past two years. This vote shows that Congress can find common ground on these issues that impact millions of families around the world."
