Commemorating Terri L. Bartlett

With the passing of what would have been Terri’s 61st birthday this past August 25th, a small group of us — Friends of TLB — have gathered together to continue honoring her in her absence… nearly four years after losing her so suddenly and too early.

Many of you know Terri’s instrumental role in starting Planned Parenthood in Louisiana nearly 30 years ago. What you may not know is that there is a campaign to raise funds for a badly-needed New Orleans Health Center, with a planned early 2013 groundbreaking and a grand opening in early 2014!

With the knowledge and blessing of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast and the New Orleans Capital Campaign, Friends of TLB are fundraising, in Terri’s honor and memory, to have a significant piece of the new Health Center named after Terri.

The kicker? A huge and well known American philanthropy has agreed to TRIPLE MATCH what we can raise. So muster your resources and follow these easy steps:

1. Make a check of any amount out to PPGC (Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast), and note somewhere that the gift is for the Terri Bartlett Memorial Fund.
2. Mail your check to PAI, c/o Suzanne Ehlers, 1300 19th St, NW #200, WDC 20036, and give me some easy way to follow back up with you to share the story of our success. I will bundle all checks and send to PPGC.
3. If you wish to give by credit card, visit PPGC on-line and make sure you note it is for the Terri Bartlett Memorial Fund.
4. Stay tuned for the TRIPLE AMOUNT we are able to leverage, and plan to join us in NOLA for the grand opening of the clinic in early 2014.
