Nicole comes to PAI via American University, from which she holds a dual MA, in conjunction with the United Nation’s mandated University for Peace, in International Affairs concentrated in Natural Resources and Sustainable Development. Nicole initially joined PAI as the fall 2010 Annual Planning intern and has transitioned to Executive Office Coordinator. Before working with PAI , Nicole completed conservation related internships in program development targeting both businesses and individuals with Planet Partnership and The Florida Aquarium. She has previously been as a writing consultant and staff liaison at both the Rollins College and American University. She has also facilitated several career conferences for high school students interested in public health through National Youth Leadership Forum. Through her academic experience, she has had the opportunity to assist in refugee relocation with the International Rescue Committee, complete field reports on disaster risk reduction with the International Red Cross of Costa Rica, and learn the Foundation for Environmental Security and Sustainability’s framework for security assessments. She also holds certificates in Geographic Information Systems and Fundraising for Sustainable Development.
